Daniel BurkettBraselton, GA -  Fifteen Atlantic cars took the track for this morning’s qualifying session for the opening round of the 2014 Atlantic Championship Series season at Road Atlanta, with two drivers under the previous track qualifying record. Daniel Burkett, driving for K-Hill Motorsports, set a new track record of 1:17.0 securing pole position for the Atlantic race of the weekend. Jimmy Simpson of Atlantic Creations was also under the previous record and will start beside Burkett on the front row.

Ethan RingelBraselton, GA- The Atlantic Championship Series rolled out onto the 12-turn Road Atlanta track this morning for their official first practice of the season. Fifteen Atlantic cars took the track for practice, increasing the field by 50 percent from the first Road Atlanta 2012 practice, with Ethan Ringel leading the way for COMPREP over two Friday sessions.

Michael Mallinen's Swift AtlanticBraselton, GA – Prior to the season opening rounds for F1600, F2000 and Atlantic at Road Atlanta this weekend, the three Formula Race Promotions operated open-wheel series enjoyed a full and extensive test-day at the 12-turn road course. With loads of track time on hand, teams and drivers were able to enjoy near perfect weather conditions in Georgia, with little cloud cover and temperatures in the sixties.

Atlantics are backSalem, NH - The Atlantic Championship Series, organized by Formula Race Promotions, made its premier in 2012 at Road Atlanta. The series has been revived for 2014, and will start once again at Road Atlanta this weekend, running with the F2000 Championship Series and the F1600 Formula F Championship Series.
