Heading into rounds three and four of the season, the weather is expected to be clear for the remainder of the weekend. Since the track conditions during the shortened morning practice session were wet, all teams elected to conserve their cars and not run, as a wet practice would not be beneficial for an expected dry weekend.

Rain at Watkins GlenWatkins Glen, NY – Practice activity for the F2000, F1600 and Atlantic Championship Series is currently on hold at Watkins Glen International due to heavy rain and a significant power outage in the area. Scheduled morning sessions will be used for street car track orientation. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Daniel BurkettSalem, NH – The Atlantic Championship Series is headed to Watkins Glen this weekend for rounds three and four of its 10-race season. This is the first time that the Atlantic Championship Series will be running at the famed 11-turned, 3.4 mile, Watkins Glen track. The entry list for this coming weekend shows an increased car count from the inaugural series weekend at Road Atlanta. Twenty Atlantic cars, with a fairly even split of Toyota to Mazda powered engines, will take part in the weekend’s events.

Daniel Burkett out front for K-HillBraselton, GA – The second and final race of the 2014 inaugural weekend for the Atlantic Championship Series at Road Atlanta completed with Canadian Daniel Burkett, driving a K-Hill Motorsports’ Atlantic Car, turning his second pole position into a second win in dominating fashion. Next to him on the podium was K-Hill teammate Conner Kearby, who finished second, and Polestar’s Keith Grant in third.
